Praying in Freedom… According to the Need of the Moment.
from Free Range Preacher on Prayer · host Fred
Prayer is never to be constrained by form. If we are to expect in our communication with others, “only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, that it may give grace to those who hear.” Ephesians 4:9b We can indeed know, our God, who knows our frame, will hear us when our need of the moment is so great, we abandon all formality. 30 But seeing the wind, he became afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” 31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and *said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” Matthew 14:30-31 During this season, keep pouring out our hearts to our God and Savior. He is listening no matter the form of our supplications.
