Trigger Warning: Self-HarmThis week on The Truth Doctor Podcast, founder of DiveThru, Sophie Gray joins Dr. Tracy to discuss anything and everything about Sophie’s life and journey. In the episode, Sophie discusses the extreme bullying she faced and how she coped with that trauma by closing herself off and creating a persona that wasn't authentic to her. Sophie says that she then engaged in self-harm and became a bully herself. From there, Sophie started focusing on how others perceived her and how she looked externally. During this experience, she built a large social media audience. One day, Sophie had a panic attack on an airplane and resulted in a drive across the country. She knew that she finally had to address her mental health – something she had been putting off for some time. Then she began learning about actually tuning into herself and listening to her needs rather than pretending she was okay when she wasn’t.
