pre-spring moment

from NOW IS GOOD · host James Francis

to me, the month of March always holds newness. this newness may come in the form of projects, relationships, even travel. something always occurs that’s full of energy. I’m biased in favor of March because my birthday is the 23rd–but! there has to be something to March outside of my personal feelings because it holds the Spring Equinox. this year it falls on Saturday the 20th. with the introduction of more warmth and longer days, moods shift and the world responds in kind. we are reminded on a deep level that we are beings of this earth, living in rhythm with the natural world. now every day is some sort of national holiday (happy girl scouts day, baked scallops day and plant a flower day, btw). this proliferation of commercially driven holidays can numb me to the actual important markers of time. seasons signify changes within and without. they are the external reflection of our internal ebbs and flows. they give us a chance to refresh and shift our energies, assess our goals and release on what we no longer need to carry. may this meditation prompt inspire you to take time in the coming week to reflect on the season (and the year) we’re emerging from. give yourself time to process so that you can enter springtime with refreshed intention. before I go...you’re receiving this meditation because you’ve chosen to support this project and that means the world to me! thank you for being here for the very first one. I couldn’t do it without you. eternally yours,James This is a public episode. If you would like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit nowisgood.substack.com
