Preach - Burning/Burnt - Acts 5:17-42
from Durbin Memorial Baptist Church Hosted by Durbin Memorial Baptist Church
In Acts 5:17-42, the early church faces significant challenges, including persecution from the Sadducees, a sect that denied the afterlife and felt threatened by the apostles' message of a resurrected Christ. Despite being arrested, the apostles are commanded by God to continue preaching in the temple, exemplifying obedience and the power of the Holy Spirit. Their steadfastness in the face of opposition, commitment to speaking the truth boldly, and extending grace to even their persecutors, serves as a model for us today. We are called to live out our faith courageously, share the gospel, and extend grace, just as the apostles did, trusting in God's guidance and support.
