Precious versus poor quality

UK charity shops are renowned for their wonderful bargains of carefully accepted preloved clothes, toys and other miscellaneous personal items that previous owners no longer want. Yesterday, in one of these shops, I saw a beautiful small Ainsley vintage collectible porcelain dish for only £1.50 and then a small well-loved purple low quality, plastic unicorn toy with matted hair which was priced at four times the amount of the little dish. The dish had clearly been underpriced by someone who had not been aware of its true value. I would imagine that most of us, over time, have unintentionally passed over or will pass over something of true worth. Let us not miss out on the worth of being in God's Kingdom. Apostle Paul's letter to the Ephesians (3:20) tells us, "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us". How wonderful that God has so much more for us than we can imagine. Sometimes we need to relinquish our tacky possessions and certain lifestyles which God wants to replace with what are of far higher value.
