Colorado Parks and Wildlife plans to start euthanizing mountain lions in the Upper Arkansas River Valley as early as this winter to see how mule deer populations respond. Deer populations in that area are below the management objective. Two tests zones will be monitored with differing levels of animals being 'controlled.'
