Join me as I geek out about the physiology of pregnancy toxemia. This small ruminant metabolic disorder of late pregnancy is characterized by a negative energy balance- the doe can't take in enough energy to meet her needs and the energy needs of her growing babies. What all is happening there from a physiological standpoint, what do these does look like in real life, what do we do about it?
