Im Mai 2026 findet der 63. Bundeswettbewerb "Jugend musiziert" statt. Ca. 1.800 junge Musikerinnen und Musiker sind dann auf den Beinen - mit Familien, Lehrkräften und Jurymitgliedern. Seit 1964 stellen sich Kinder- und Jugendliche dem musikalischen Wettbewerb. Die Punkteregelung wurde in den letzen Jahren verschärft und verändert. Das sorgte für Kritik. Was kann so ein Wettbewerb leisten, wie schafft man Breiten- und Spitzenförderung und wie soll sich "Jugend musiziert" zukünftig entwickeln? Von Barbara Overbeck.
