Prelude to Alzheimer's and Austin Goings

I have waited almost eight months before uploading the podcast I did with Austin Goings regarding Alzheimer's.  At the time he only had Cognitive Memory Issues but now has the dreaded disease.  Many of us know someone that has some form of dementia but I did not realize it true impact until I spoke with a sibling of a beautiful lady who attend the function. I saw first hand how it affected her and although I was sad, she wanted to dance that night and as I cranked up the music for her, she seemed to be the happiest person at the party.  She not only danced but she danced to the music and knew the songs.  As others joined in she had the biggest smile.  She was truly happy.  It may be wonder - can music be a part of the process in helping those with types of dementia?  Watching her dance I believe it may be possible.KF
