Premier Smith Appeals to Americans | Calgary News

Premier Smith is making waves by directly addressing Americans on Fox Business, calling out President Trump’s bizarre proposal to rename Lake Ontario as “Lake America” — a move she says reveals deep confusion and disappointment in U.S. intentions toward Canada. Highlighting the long-standing economic and military partnership — from joint missions in Afghanistan to shared grief over 9/11 — she argues this trade war will devastate small businesses and jobs on both sides of the border. Her bold strategy? Appeal to the American public to see the human cost and preserve the vital ties that bind these nations.
