Colombian bassist, composer and producer Aldo Zolev joins forces with DJ, producer and composer Cales & Mr Hyde for a collaboration that transforms organic musical language into a hypnotic dancefloor journey. The spark for the collaboration came from En Noche de Lluvia, a piece from Zolev’s album Sensaciones Bajo la Lluvia. Rather than revisiting the original track, both artists used its atmosphere as a starting point to create something entirely new. On A Rainy Night unfolds as a deep and psychedelic club experience where Middle Eastern textures, jazz instrumentation and dub infused electronic groove converge. Daf and oud introduce hypnotic rhythmic patterns, while double bass, saxophone, guitar and live drums expand the musical palette with organic warmth. Under the electronic vision of Cales & Mr Hyde, these elements evolve into a driving house groove shaped by dub influenced synths, deep basslines and hypnotic percussion designed for the dancefloor. Together these elements form an immersive track that balances musicality and club energy, where ancient tonalities, jazz expression and electronic rhythm move together through groove.
