PREMIERE: Liam Robertson - Loxia [Redstone Press]

from definite party material · host definite party material

New to Redstone Press, Liam Robertson comes with a singular, dark and brooding EP, expertly sweeping through techno, bass and broken beat dystopia. “Clay Petrel” sets the tone through unnerving synths and a heavy low end, interspersed by unyielding percussion and spectral voices. Closing the A side is “Common Weaver”, an unrelenting drum track that grows in intensity before descending into languid madness. The B side is looser, but the mood is further enhanced by the rolling sub and wistful vocals of “Wrestling Halfbeak Fighting Taxa” before it ends with the lurching beatwork and warped, growling bass of “Loxia”. @perth-drug-legend @thisisclouds @redstonepress Buy: https://redstonepress.bandcamp.com/album/village-of-killin-ep
