PREMIERE: Mod-R - Mandate [Out Of Sorts]

Following up on the success of their inaugural release, Out of Sorts present the first of their new club-focused digital series, OOSX. MELD boss Mod-R sets the tone for the series with Jury: four tracks carefully selected with dark rooms and big sound systems in mind. The release spans a range of percussive, breaks-fuelled workouts that vary in tempo but are aligned by a distinctive UK feel that runs through the DNA of each track. From the classic samples used in Capacitive and Long Way from London that nod to the hazy days of warehouse raves; to the chopped-up breaks and weighty bass compositions of Jury and Mandate that make for a real heads down affair. Wrapping up the release is Maya Q on remix duties, who flips the title track with a refined, UK funky laced twist, chopping up the melody to provide a change of style and pace on the release.
