PREMIERE: Sebastian Sellares - Epiphany In The Woods (Golan Zocher Remix) [Or two strangers] Antrim's Or Two Strangers imprint welcomes Sebastian Sellares to the label with 'Epiphany In The Woods'. Also known under his previous moniker Monje, Sebastian hails from one of Argentina’s most talent rich regions in Cordoba. His smooth progressive minded sound has become a favourite amongst old and new school fans of the genre, landing him releases on ICONYC, PHW Elements and Massive Harmony Records. Now fresh off an EP for AMITABHA to begin the year, Sebastian debuts on Or Two Strangers alongside remixes from Simply City and Golan Zocher. The title and showcase piece ‘Epiphany In The Woods’ leads the release off with a smooth, melodious vibe. Anchored by a warm, buoyant groove and waves of finely tuned percussion, it's an evolving atmospheric storyboard which first captures your imagination. Delicate shades and tantalizing motifs just add to its enigmatic nature, before eventually melting down into a euphoric break, perfectly setting up a heartfelt finale. The companion piece ‘Aeris’ follows suit with warm bass swells, rolling rhythms and exotic percussion. Built around a series of melodic clusters and pixie-like fragments it’s quite mystical in nature. As it strips down into the main break you get what is perhaps one of the EPs most memorable moments; as airy refrains and a rising cinematic sphere continue to elevate the mood as the beats drop for a glorious sonic moment. The first interpretation of ‘Epiphany In The Woods'’ is provided by Simply City who is making his label debut. Hailing from Chile but now based in Montreal, Cesar Romero aka Simply City has become a fixture in the city’s burgeoning nightlife, earning a spot as one of Stereo’s resident DJs. On the production front he lays claim to releases on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music and Nick Warren’s Hope Recordings. Now making his first appearance on Or Two Strangers he delivers a superb take on 'Epiphany In The Woods'. Incredibly rhythmic with fresh design qualities and soft, creamy melodies, it moves elegantly across it's ten minute running time. Immediately captivating as an array of shifty atmospherics and tranquil melodies create a redolent air. Warm, dreamy overlays soon follow and you’re effortlessly taken away into a melodic wonderland. Subtle yet powerful, it’s blissful theme plays off smooth chord changes and subtle modulation for a string of magic moments, making for an exhilarating third act finale. The second and final interpretation of ‘Epiphany In The Woods’ is provided by Golan Zocher who also makes his label debut. Whether paired with sometime studio partner Kamilo Sanclemente or going solo, the Colombia born, Israel based artist always seems to find his tracks in the sets of Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. It’s a trend that has found him amongst the progressive house elite and now leads him to Antrim's burgeoning Or Two Strangers imprint. Always a creative remixer, Golan provides a quirky yet powerful version which complements the previous two mixes wonderfully. The groove gets beefed up with punchy kicks and thick slabs of bass while a mountainous tonal theme begins to take shape. The rugged rhythmic qualities sit in stark contrast to the melodic elements from the original, eventually leading to a tranquil break before phasing noise reignites the groove for a powerful finale. A superb remix from Golan which rounds out an impressive EP from Sebastian Sellares, who continues to impress with his new moniker.
