Kathryn Ann kicks off the series with a rocking collection of her favorite tracks.While Kathryn Ann grew up in the South, her musical interests have always spanned the globe crossing multiple genres and generations. She grew up listening to her grandfather and uncle playing the guitar during the holidays as family sang and laughed together. Kathryn Ann’s love of music is connected to the joy and peace it brings. At age 9, she started taking piano lessons and began learning to read music. Her appreciation for music grew in middle and high school as Kathryn Ann got involved in band playing the oboe, piano, and synthesizer. Kathryn Ann enjoys listening to Indy Music. Some of her favorite bands are The Neighborhood and Twenty One Pilots. She also loves listening to instrumental music. Mozart and Handel are some of her favorites. She loves collecting vinyl records and rummaging through vintage albums to add to her collection. Finding unique sounds and new music is exciting and refreshing. Kathryn Ann has had many opportunities to grow musically. In addition to being a part of her school band, she has been a member of the jazz band and is currently a member of the student ministry band at her church. Kathryn Ann has played in local and regional honor bands and was recently accepted into a local youth symphony orchestra. Now 18, Kathryn Ann hopes to continue playing music in college. However, whatever the future holds, she knows music will always be part of who she is and what she loves! Kathryn Ann enjoys sharing pieces of the music she loves with you in her playlists featured on Sandwich Radio Station on Saturday nights at 7p/EST!
