It brings together outstanding musicians based in Canada, many of them part of the Nuits d’Afrique community, alongside distinctive international voices. Moroccan singer Walid Ben Selim joins from Europe, and acclaimed bassist Juan Garcia Herreros, also known as Snow Owl, performs on two tracks. I’m especially touched by the meeting of cultures on this album, Djely Tapa from Mali, Zal Sissoko from Senegal, & Mateo from Colombia, all living in Montreal, sharing the richness of their roots through their voices and artistry. This project is about connecting, human to human, through love, harmony, and a passion that unites us.
