Prepare for His Return (Mark 14.22-25) - 9-5-21

The bad news is humans were separated from God due to sin. Original sin committed by Adam and Eve is found in the book of Genesis. In the same book, God promised a Deliverer, a Redeemer, who would come to close the separation gap.Jesus is without impurities. When He told the Apostles then and us today to take, eat, this is my body, He is telling us to take in His purity. He sacrificed His life so that all who receive Him might become a living sacrifice constantly preparing for His return.Jesus prepared the disciples to receive His covering by drinking from the cup that contained the fruit of the vine representing His shed blood. The Angel of death would pass over them. Jesus’ blood assures eternal life with God when we receive Him as LORD and Savior.
