PREPARING ROOM FOR JESUS

from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix

Scripture: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with Me.” – Revelation 3:20 Devotional Message: When Jesus was born, there was no room for Him in the inn. Yet a humble manger became the place where heaven touched earth. This timeless story invites us to examine our own hearts. Are we so crowded with worries, distractions, ambitions, or routines that there is little room left for Christ? Preparing room for Jesus is not about perfection; it is about invitation. It means making space through repentance, surrender, and daily fellowship. When we intentionally open our hearts, Jesus brings His peace, order, and transforming presence. He does not demand luxury—He desires availability. Even the simplest space, when yielded to Him, becomes holy ground. As we prepare room for Jesus, we discover that His presence changes everything. He fills emptiness with purpose, heaviness with peace, and chaos with divine order. A heart prepared for Christ becomes a dwelling place for hope, joy, and new beginnings. Today, Ask Yourself: What distractions or habits might be crowding my heart, and how can I make more room for Jesus today? Prayer: Lord Jesus, I open my heart to You. Remove anything that competes with Your place in my life. Help me prepare room for You daily, that Your presence may rule my heart and guide my steps. Amen.
