Nick Stacey's life was torn apart by an opioid addiction and it's taken more than a decade for him to piece himself back together. As millions of people do, Nick started taking prescription drugs to cope with the pain of a shocking  sports injury and as he endured surgery after surgery, use turned to abuse. Nick lost his marriage to addiction and diagnosed with cancer soon after, all while trying to raise two young children and hold down a job. It took many years, therapy and a lot of bravery for him to face the fact his plight was linked to the sexual abuse he suffered as a child.
