Present: In Our Failure

from Confluence Church Hosted by Confluence Church

The story of Christmas captures our attention every Advent season. Jesus’ birth marks a glorious moment in history. But the story of Christmas is not an isolated event. The story begins at creation and points to new creation. And the beauty of Advent reminds us that from the beginning, in our failure, through our process, to new life, God has always been present with us.

What this episode covers

Everything was good until it wasn’t. But what caused this fracture and failure? In the creation account, we are reminded of our own rebellion against God, as Adam and Eve looked elsewhere for their identity, purpose, and truth. But God was not done with us. Even in our failure, His is present.
