South African president Cyril Ramaphosa has managed to secure 20 billion US dollars’ worth of new investment for the country from the Middle East and got a further commitment of 10 billion US dollars for investment in the energy sector from Saudi Arabia. Ramaphosa was on a three nation tour last week; he visited Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
