Pressing Forward in Our Heavenly Call | Episode 25

People often times see the platform but they never see the pit. They don’t see the prayers, aches, groans and spiritual warfare that go on behind the scenes. Yes, we are saved by grace through faith. Yes, the Lord fights for us. But we also have to be accountable for our own personal growth—for spiritual maturity. You have to fight for your sanctification. As children of God, we have a target on our back—the last thing the enemy wants you to do is pursue righteousness. You have to surrender and sacrifice things in order to grow in relationship with our God and understand what this spiritual battle is all about.I made a promise four years ago when I made my faith public, and that promise was to be transparent in what my relationship with God looks like. Being vulnerable and open about our personal walk isn’t something we’re required to do; there’s nothing wrong with living a private life. But I believe sharing the rawness and reality of what it looks like to grow with our Father is important in making disciples.  There is a cost to pick up our cross. Salvation is free, but the oil will cost you everything.
