Conservatives continue to push for Democrats and President Joe Biden to pass legislation addressing the flow of migrants, which they describe as a “catastrophic” situation as almost 500,000 more migrants crossed the southern border into the United States in 2023 than in 2022, and nearly 1.3 million more than in 2021.
