Pressure on government to expand Tenant-in-Situ Scheme

Cllr Arthur Gibbons is calling on the Minister for Housing to immediately reinstate and expand funding for the Tenant-In-Situ Scheme.He says the government’s cuts have left vulnerable families without support, pushing many into emergency accommodation.Cllr Gibbons also wants restrictions removed that prevent councils from bringing properties up to livable standards.Speaking to Ocean FM News, Cllr Gibbons said the Minister must restore hope for families and that enough damage has been done through broken promises.
