Preston Hatfield’s Fast Rise to Mizzou

Preston Hatfield’s rise from unranked recruit to Mizzou Tiger was lightning-fast—he got the offer, committed, and signed in under two weeks. His senior year was a jaw-dropping comeback: broke his leg, missed eight weeks, then led his team to a state championship while even playing wildcat QB. In just eight games, he shredded defenses with 1,600+ rushing yards, 18 TDs, and threw for 500+ yards and 3 more scores, breaking a state championship rushing record once held by an NFL legend. Small but explosive, he’s got the elusiveness to thrive despite not being the biggest back. While he’ll likely sit behind others in his first year, with hard work and development, Hatfield could become a key contributor for Mizzou down the road.
