Preston Turner Joins UTSA Roadrunners

UTSA just added a scoring threat to their 2026-27 roster: 6-foot-6 guard Preston Turner, a transfer from Eastern Illinois. A standout at Mineral Area College with all-region honors and a championship game run, Turner averaged nearly eight points per game last season while hitting over 40% from three. Originally from Missouri and a two-sport star in high school, he brings proven experience and shooting ability — and the Roadrunners will be watching to see how he fits into their system next year.
