Elders, deacons, teachers, and other leaders abusing their flocks sexually, financially, etc, has become a common story in our culture and many are wondering why it's so difficult to stop. I think it stems back to not following what Jesus said in Matthew 18. Jesus gave us a formula that, if used, would prevent so much tragedy before it occured.
