Days before it was passed the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (SUHAKAM) called for the second reading of the bill to be passed but to no avail. We speak to SUHAKAM vice-president on the implications of the bill both locally as well as internationally. And Masjaliza Hamzah, executive director of the Center for Independent Journalism, observed the debate on the bill in parliament.
