Preview: Berlin 2023 will see the return of Dany Torres, Luc Ackermann and Kai Haase

from NIGHT of the JUMPs · host NIGHT of the JUMPs

The first competitions of 2023 are about to go down in Berlin on February 24 and February 25 inside the Mercedes-Benz Arena! The Freestyle of Nations returns for a new season of IFMXF competition and we will see the return of Team Germany, Team Spain and Team Czech Republic! The Spanish team will be rejoicing in the fact that their legend of FMX and Red Bull X-Fighters, Dany Torres, will be returning from retirement!  We did not think he would ever return to competition, but after a full knee replacement, Dany will come back for his first competition. Maikel Melero the 5-time World Champion and Marc Pinyol will fill out the Spanish Team. For Team Germany on home soil, having the reigning World Champion and X Games gold medallist, Luc Ackermann returning from injury will be a huge boost!  One of the gnarliest riders on the planet, Luc has the biggest tricks in the game!  Kai Haase, the local Berliner, will also return from his broken femur he suffered last year.  With 6 months off the bike, he will be looking to impress everyone in Berlin.  Especially his family and friends!  And David Rinaldo will be joining as a wild card to fill out the German team after helping them to a win last year in Cologne! Team Czech Republic will be lead by the lean machine, Petr Pilat, who was also the European Champion.  Filip Podmol the younger brother of former World Champion Libor Podmol, will also return to NOTJ competition.  And the Czech young gun Matej Cesak will round out the team. With Best Whip, Synchro, Best Trick, MTB with David Godziek and Szymon Godziek to name but a few, this will be an event you won't want to miss!
