Preview for the 16 days of activism against violence of Women and Children

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) 1 in 3 (35%) women worldwide have experienced either physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence or non-partner sexual violence in their lifetime. As the official launch of the 16 days of nonviolence against women and children campaign draws nearer various non-governmental organisations have taken a stand to help women who are still trapped in violence, abuse and conflict areas to speak up. The South African Congress of Nonprofit organisation or Sacono is leading a campaign called raising the voice of one billion women and children.
