[PREVIEW] History 420: Harriet Tubman: History's Greatest Hero- Prelude: A Brief History of Enslavement in the United States

PTP & Rochelle Cote are joined by Kris & Charlie, of Everything & Nothing, to explore the life of PTP's favorite person in history- Harriet Tubman!!! Everything & Nothing is having a live show January 9th: Link below! But first, it wouldn't be Recyclables if we didn't talk for over an hour. In this episode we tour the history of enslavement in the United States. You know, for context.Seriously: Knowing all this stuff gives important context to literally all of the United States' history. Content Alert:This is some of the worst of aspects of United States history. Although we never get gory or graphic it might be wisest for younger listeners to have an adult around to answer questions.I mean, that's always best with us, but more so than usual today.Additional Content Warning:This is 4 white Americans talking about some of the worst times in United States history for Black people. This was intentional, and out of respect. It shouldn't be the burden of our Black friends & family to bear all that historical trauma. But that may mean we misunderstand a cultural connection or don't give enough gravity to aspects. There will be follow up episodes.Cool Stuff You Can Follow Up On:https://share.libbyapp.com/title/2890203https://share.libbyapp.com/title/2310336https://share.libbyapp.com/title/265912https://youtu.be/HlXGK2wi5oMhttps://youtu.be/fREQFd6gH3Ihttps://youtu.be/L5c6cDCTJNYhttps://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8dPuuaLjXtNYJO8JWpXO2JP0ezgxsrJJI also think the Dallop had a good episode, if a bit irreverent. But I am sorta scared to watch the Harriet movie; I haven't heard good or bad reviews about it.Wanna catch Everything & Nothing, LIVE !?!https://www.eventbrite.com/e/478575541327
