Preview: Why Martin McDonagh loves dogs on film

Playwright and filmmaker Martin McDonagh (The Lieutenant of Inishmore, In Bruges, Seven Psychopaths) is known for stories that involve a lot of blood and violence. But his antiheroes often have a soft spot: their pets. In this preview of his conversation with Kurt Andersen, McDonagh says "it's kind of a critique of the sentimentality of male violence.
