PRIDE

Pride is subtle, yet powerful, shaping our thoughts, attitudes, and relationships in ways we often don’t recognize. In this message, we explore how pride fuels envy and unhealthy competition, driving an obsession for recognition, status, and power. Rooted in Proverbs 16:18, we are reminded that pride precedes destruction, warning us of its dangerous trajectory. Through scriptures like Ecclesiastes 1:9 and Genesis 4:3, this sermon highlights how comparison blinds us to the truth that every person’s journey is uniquely designed by God. Pride distorts perspective, making us measure our lives against others instead of trusting God’s purpose. We also see how pride leads to rebellion, as illustrated in Isaiah 13:14 and Daniel 4:28, and how it can corrupt even the success God gives, as shown in 2 Chronicles 26. What begins as achievement can quickly become self-glorification when we lose sight of the true source of our blessings. Ultimately, this message is a call to humility. God has not called us to live small or limited lives, but to fully embrace our gifts and purpose. Yet, in all our pursuits, we must remain grounded, remembering that everything we have comes from Him. Listen and be challenged to examine your heart, realign your motives, and walk in humility before God.
