PRIDE & PREJUDICE (2005) Movie Reaction! | First Time Watch! | Keira Knightley | Matthew Macfadyen

Jaby & Brandon react to Pride & Prejudice (2005), diving into the classic Regency-era romance that follows Elizabeth Bennet as she navigates love, class, and first impressions—while clashing with the reserved and misunderstood Mr. Darcy. Set against the backdrop of English society, the story unfolds through family pressures, social expectations, and slow-burn emotional tension. And no—this isn’t Bridgerton—but it’s very much the blueprint for that world, trading scandalous gossip for sharper dialogue and timeless character dynamics. This reaction stands out for its character-driven storytelling, romantic tension, and iconic moments, as Jaby & Brandon experience the wit, misunderstandings, and emotional payoffs in real time. Directed by Joe Wright (Atonement, Anna Karenina, Darkest Hour, Pan, Hanna), the film stars Keira Knightley (Pirates of the Caribbean, Love Actually, Atonement, Begin Again, The Imitation Game), Matthew Macfadyen (Succession, Death at a Funeral, Anna Karenina, Robin Hood, Ripper Street), Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl, Jack Reacher, The Wheel of Time, I Care a Lot, Die Another Day), Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games, Ordinary People, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, MASH, Ad Astra), and Brenda Blethyn (Secrets & Lies, Little Voice, Atonement, Vera, Saving Grace), bringing together a cast recognized across period drama, major franchises, and character-driven storytelling that continues to attract strong reaction audiences and crossover fandom interest. ___________________________________________________ We've got merch!
