Primary Election Day: Who’s on the ballot in Delaware?

Tuesday is primary day in Delaware. Voters are choosing nominees for Senate, Congress and state attorney general. Sen. Chris Coons faces three primary challengers in his bid for a third term: University of Delaware history professor Jeff Appelhans, naval architect Mary Louve, and former business executive Eric Hansen. Hansen was the Republican Senate nominee in 2024. He is now running as a Democrat and will appear on the ballot under the name “E. No-Trump Hansen.” Former state Sen. Michael Katz and U.S. Army Reserve Col. John Shulli are competing for the Republican nomination.
