Prioritizing Prayer and Giving Him the Weight- pt. two of "Slow Down; Abiding and Resting in Him"

from the Christian Student podcast · host Elly

PRAYER is how we find connection to God. It's a portable anchor and communication line that's completely free. It is a weapon for peace in the world- a way for us to learn how to communicate love and a place to lay down our burdens. As students, it can feel like every new test and assignment is something to complain and stress about. Friends and boys can feel like such vices in our lives and we almost want to drown and be pulled down into our own woes. But God has a space for that. He actually WANTS us to communicate all of the weight we're carrying to Him: the negatives, positives, decisions, situations, thoughts, worries... He can take it. And that's where we find freedom. Freedom to keep going and make the effort to love another eron, to restore our minds and bodies to do the work He's set in front of us. To live the fruitful, joy-filled life He offers. And I invite you to step into it with me. Blessings, Elly
