PRISONER OF THE GOSPEL...THE CONCLUSION

from Resilient Truths · host Dr. Theresa M Bell

Dr. Bell concludes the study on the life of a believer as a prisoner of the gospel, emphasizing the need to walk as Christ requires in order to fulfill God's purpose for our lives. If a believer cannot follow instruction on earth, how can they be expected to follow instruction in the Kingdom? Some believers focus on saving others while neglecting their own spiritual well-being. Indulging in fleshly behaviors can turn lost souls away from the gospel. When unbelievers cannot see the gospel reflected in the lives of believers, they are not convinced of its truth. Believers must walk in a way that makes amends for the hurts caused by selfish, fleshly behaviors. It is crucial to ensure that our brothers and sisters can continue to thrive despite any past hurts or pains. In the body of Christ, everyone is family and interconnected. Just as every limb of the body needs care, so does every member of Christ's body. We are called to love our enemies in such a way that they are willing and able to receive Christ. We cannot lead others to Christ by rejecting or judging them; this will not draw them to Him. To attract the world to Christ, we must show them something different—something that reflects His love and grace.
