Prisoners of the Past

from Pneuma Podcast

Based on Philippians 3:13-16 ‘Prisoners of the Past’ invites believers in Jesus Christ to move away from being held prisoners of their past while recognising that the past establishes the future. This podcast draws on important lessons from the life and character of the Apostle Pauls as he encouraged the Philippian Church on the need to gather all their energies so as to focus on what was ahead of them. While we cannot change the past, it is possible to influence the future by what we do today. No matter how painful the  past memories are, if we acknowledge and let Jesus Christ take absolute control he will free us from our miserable past memories and help us focus on the exciting future as we cannot afford to live in the shadow of the past and still be fully alive in Christ Jesus. I believe that that was what the Apostle Paul was doing with this particular letter. It is my prayer that this Podcast blesses you.Music:Portraits of Hope: Carry Me  (Instrumental)Kim Walker: Walk with meDisclaimer: All music used belong to the copyright owner credited.
