Priti R. Patel (A Nation of Immigrants)

Priti R. Patel is a second-generation Indian American. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She also holds a Juris Doctor degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. She started her career in private legal practice, then served as Assistant General Counsel in the Telecommunications and Energy Division with Minnesota Attorney General's Office. Priti held multiple senior legal counsels and business executive roles with Xcel Energy and Midcontinent Independent System Operator. Currently, Priti is Vice President & Chief Transmission Officer at Great River Energy, serving as a corporate officer and providing strategic direction in planning, development, construction, system operations, and maintenance of Great River Energy's transmission assets while ensuring reliable, responsive, and low-cost energy delivery to Great River Energy's member cooperatives.
