Pro boxer battered in 2015 match in Northern Virginia dies from injuries at 33

A former contender in the pro boxing ranks whose career ended in a disputed DQ loss in a 2015 match in Northern Virginia that left him in a vegetative state died on Thursday. Prichard Colon, 33, a native of Florida who relocated to Puerto Rico to train as an amateur boxer, was 16-0 as a pro going into the fight with Terrel Williams at EagleBank Arena on the campus of George Mason University on Oct. 17, 2015.   #boxing
