Whether you’re dating someone, adopting a dog or taking a new job, it takes three months to figure out what you’ve gotten yourself into. But do you have to wait that long to know for sure very single time?  According to a CNN article: The first three months of knowing someone is a time of illusions. Instead of seeing the person objectively, you see them for who you want them to be. Your object of desire is laden with fantasies and projections. We think it takes about three months to strip away the layers and start to see this person for who they really are but you might not feel the same.
