My name is Chris Fluitt and I am excited to share good news with you today. Greetings to everyone in the room and everyone joining us online. We are glad to share this time with you. We are starting a new series today. Problem Solver Life is full of problems. We need to be problem solvers.Life will never be problem free. We must learn how to solve life’s problems. Don’t bring your boss problems… bring your boss solved problems. Series Outline Rescue from troubleFriendship for lonelinessGuidance for circumstancePromise keeper for dark times Problem SolverWhat can we do when our problem is… Sickness, disease, wounds… Physical – Virus, Cancer, Heart diseaseEmotional – Depression, Anxiety, Disorders Relational – Family, Past regret, and mistakes Healing is a problem solver. If you have ever been sick…If you have ever had a wounded heart…If you have ever had a broken relationship… You understand what a big problem this is. You need to healMedical – Add the good stuff, remove the bad stuff.  (laughter)Counsel – examine your emotions, and make positive changes. (depression)Forgiveness – heal the relational wounds.  Get wisdom… act wisely… give it time. If you aren’t healing, perhaps you need someone to help you. You need others to heal Healing often needs others. James 5:14-16 (NIV) 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.  Do you see the need for others? V14 Church – Elders James expected those who needed healing to find it in the Church. Call for the elders – Relationship with others. Elders – structure. V16 Confess to each other Sins – What if we didn’t hid our sin but confessed it? Confession and prayer can heal. Prayer of a righteous (right standing) person is POWERFUL & EFFECTIVE.   We need one another. “ONE ANOTHER” – 100 times NT Love one another…Rejoice with…Mourn with…Care for…Encourage…Pray for…(LIST OF ONE ANOTHER’S) Maybe you need fellow problem solvers? Maybe you have never taken advantage of the “one another’s” around you? Prayer Connect Groups Fellowship You need to healYou need others to heal A problem bigger than you can solve You tried. You sought counsel. You went to the doctors. Not healed Luke 8:42-44As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him. 43 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, and she had spent all she had on doctors, but no one could heal her. 44 She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. 12 years – still sick. Doctors & $$$ – still sick. A problem bigger than she could solve… bigger than others could solve. A problem bigger than you can solve Big Problems are scary… BUT her big problem brought her to Jesus.
