from Mental Health News Radio · host Mental Health News Radio

Join Kristin and Dr. Lorie Hood as they talk about trauma. Why certain terms we apply to trauma healing don't really apply and how we can move forward with a better understanding of our processing of trauma.Dr. Lorie Hood developed The Hood Group High Stakes Performance℠ (HSP) method, which increases human focus and performance while reducing the potential for trauma and burnout. HSP teaches individuals how to consistently and predictably function in (acute and long-term) high-stress environments while maintaining access to their minds, bodies, and the full range of their abilities. HSP allows individuals to be fully present for their work and manage their energy and resources in a focused, efficient manner. The High Stakes Performance Method also teaches individuals to release their work when it is finished, which, when combined with more efficient use of mental and physical resources, dramatically reduces the potential for burnout. She applies the tools and techniques from the Hood Group High Stakes Performance Method to #militaryleadership #traumamitigation #masstrauma ##firstresponder and veteran populations.http://www.thehoodgroupllc.comhttp://www.respondersfirstllc.comShe is also a clinician and researcher with a specialty in trauma, human potential, and High Stakes Performance.
