Proclaiming God Has a Cost

John tells a king to repent, and loses his freedom, dignity and life. His death stands beside Jesus sending the disciples out with almost nothing, showing two costs of proclaiming God's kingdom. Jesus may demand comfort and possessions, while a hostile world may take respect, friendships, income or even life. Such losses are not strange.
