Prodigal (Luke 15): Prodigal Son, Prodigal Father
from Island Community Church (Memphis) · host Barrett Bowden
We continue together in our study of Luke Chapter 15 and our series - "Prodigal." Have you ever wondered what this familiar word actually means? Here's the definition: prod-i-gal / adjective : 1. recklessly extravagant 2. having spent everything. Not only is it representative of the wayward son (and all of us), but also of the father (and God). Our rebellion into sin is never a match for the power of the cross of Jesus, where God spent it all to provide for us a welcome back home & an unending celebration of His love & grace. The question is not whether or not we are wrong. The question is not whether or not we are loved. The question is: Are you willing to recognize this, come home, and change?
