His lab at St. Boniface Hospital focuses on understanding the neurobiological basis of normal memory and how memory gets impaired in dementia. His lab studies nuclear factor kappa B ( NF-kB), which is a key mediator of brain inflammation thought to be involved in Alzheimer’s disease.
