He is a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors, recipient of the Thomas Edison Patent Award and inductee of the New Jersey Inventors Hall of Fame. He has published over 200 papers and has 30 patents. He was a founding editorial board member of the IEEE Neural Network Society and was the Associate Vice President of Innovation and Partnerships of Rutgers.
