About Prof. Rohit Prasad: Rohit Prasad is an eminent Professor of Economics and Public Policy at MDI Gurgaon, holding a Ph.D. in Economic Theory from SUNY Stony Brook, USA. Before embarking on his academic journey at MDI Gurgaon, Dr. Prasad amassed substantial experience in the software industry across the USA and India, serving in senior management roles. His academic pursuits focus on the economics of Information and Communication Technology, distressed debt markets, and sustainable development. His prolific research contributions have graced esteemed journals such as Telecommunications Policy, The Information Society, Applied Economics, and the Economic and Political Weekly. Additionally, his insightful column, 'Game Sutra,' delved into game-theoretic analyses of global events and was a staple in the Mint for nearly three years. Dr. Prasad has co-authored The Dynamics of Spectrum Management with Dr. V. Sridhar, a significant work published by Oxford University Press in 2014. His literary repertoire includes Startup Sutra and Blood Red River, both published by Hachette, with the latter examining the nuances of developmental conflict in India. Another notable work, Game Sutra - Rescuing Game Theory from Game Theorists, published by Sage, is a collection of essays that apply game theory to contemporary issues. Dr. Prasad has been an influential figure in policy-making, serving on several high-powered committees, including the RBI's comprehensive review of the bankruptcy ecosystem and the Department of Telecommunications' spectrum allocation and pricing recommendations. He has also contributed to two expert panels for the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India to evaluate the value of spectrum.
