Profitable Prophets

Hosea pays to bring home the wife who has betrayed him. Their painful marriage pictures Israel’s unfaithfulness to God, while Hosea’s costly pursuit points beyond itself to Jesus. Christ bears the shame and sins of His wayward bride, gives His own life as her ransom, and clothes her in His righteousness.
