Profiting From the Pain of Others

from History Matters · host Natalye Harpin

Rightfully so, people are questioning the paper trail of national groups that receive donations for families whose loved ones are victims of things like police brutality. Why is the money not going to the victim's families, despite tens of millions made from these people's murder?  Check out your local grassroots organizations, and accounts that share that information with the general public. In San Diego, I like to follow @polititexts; they share a wealth of information regarding where items/funds can be donated to assist local organizing and community members, as well as keeping these organizations honest about who is on their team.  We all have a role to play, no way is more necessary than the other. We all just have to do what we can, and feel a call for.
